The 42nd International October Conference on Mining and Metallurgy organized annually, aims at providing a forum for presentation and discussion of scientific research, technological development and practice on the subjects of geology, mining, metallurgy, material science, technology, environmental protection and related engineering topics.
The Conference has been organized jointly by Technical Faculty in Bor, University of Belgrade and Mining and Metallurgy Institute Bor. Firstly, it was a national conference, then a conference with international participation and since 2002 - international conference.

Time and venue
The 42nd IOC will be held in October 10-13 2010 at Hotel “Aquastar Danube”, Kladovo (Serbia), a tourist site and healing resort on the river Danube near National Park Djerdap, Eastern Serbia (about 260 km south-east of Belgrade).

Program
The Conference will be organized in sections, including plenary lecture, section lectures, oral and poster presentations.
Two Round tables will also be organized during the Conference – 3rd Round Table THERPHAD (Thermodynamics and Phase Diagrams) and Round table Precious Metals and Goldsmith.
Publishing
The Conference Proceedings will be published including only the papers accepted by the Scientific Committee. The papers should be written in English, according to the instructions given here...
The authors can prepare their papers in extended form and submit them as full-length research papers in Journal of Mining and Metallurgy, Section A:Mining and Section B: Metallurgy (the instructions for the preparation of papers are given at JMM site - www.jmmab.com), as well as in the national journals Rudarski radovi and Bakar, after reviewing and appropriate revisions.
